Dear BCS Community,

I am writing to inform everyone of a recent cybersecurity incident involving PowerSchool, a software vendor which warehouses data for our Student Information System. This incident involved unauthorized access to student and staff data. Upon investigation, Belfast Central School's information was involved in this breach.

PowerSchool and Erie I BOCES have informed us that the compromised data includes parent, student, and employee personally identifiable information (PII). However, we do not know what exact information has been compromised. PowerSchool is still conducting their investigation. 

BCS is working with Erie I BOCES and PowerSchool to gather additional information and resources. I will provide them as they become available.
